1. This area is NOT for running monetarist conspiracy theories or "hard money" nonsense, UNLESS the Ticker in question is SPECIFICALLY dealing with that topic (and it almost NEVER is.) ANY such posting to ANY other Ticker thread is off-topic by definition. If you want to run a monetary theory discussion there is an area for it on the forum.

2. "Argumentation by shouting" is absolutely off-limits. If you wind up constituting a significant percentage of the comments on one TICKER thread in an attempt to "shout down" other opinions you're guilty. Make your point and allow others to make THEIRS. Restating your point doesn't make it more valid.

3. ANY discussion of "hyperinflation" and similar issues EXCEPT when this is the primary topic of the TICKER is out-of-bounds. See #1; this is an extension of that rule.

4. Intentional diversion of the discussion from the TICKER's topic to other areas of discussion. There are myriad topic areas on Tickerforum and it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make sure that YOU post in an appropriate area.

5. If you are debating (or trying to refute) a cited FACT or STATISTIC you have the burden of proof. If your reply is one that amounts to "its because I said so" or looks to me like nothing other than self-serving pumping (of any sort) you will draw an immediate and permanent ban on all future posting to the TICKER area. Speculation and self-serving posts are fine BUT YOU MUST IDENTIFY THEM AS SUCH with your post. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE WILL BE MADE.

6. Any sort of baiting, chest-beating or other similar boorish behavior is absolutely off-limits in this area. This area of the forum is for CIVIL discussion. Open debate is encouraged in a civil format. Posters who foment less-than-civil discourse (or worse) will be prevented from causing further disruption.

ALL OTHER rules in the TOS are enforced VIGOROUSLY in this area, including specifically but not exclusively ANYTHING that could be construed, even loosely, as advocacy of unlawful acts.
