I'm sure it was a standard reponse but if you don't speak up then don't whine. The link to send a message is below.

Here the response:

Thank you for your recent correspondence in which you asked the Federal
Reserve to raise the level of the federal
funds rate. We appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts
with us and want to assure you that the concerns
you have expressed are not simply ignored.

The public frequently makes suggestions, as you did in your
correspondence. In addition, the Federal Reserve receives
and evaluates a mass of data in attempting to arrive at a balanced and
realistic assessment of how the economy is
functioning. While we value the observations and recommendations of
private citizens, in conducting monetary policy,
the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) must pay attention to guides
for monetary policy as specified in the Humphrey-
Hawkins Act. Using the monetary policy tools at its disposal, the
Federal Reserve strives to promote an environment of
price stability and reasonably damped fluctuations in overall economic
activity that helps foster the health and
stability of financial institutions and markets.

In light of your comments, you may wish to read the Board's semiannual
monetary policy report to the Congress,
available at federalreserve.gov/boarddocs/hh. The document also
includes Chairman Bernanke's accompanying testimony,
with his observations on interest rates, along with many comments on
the economy.

Again, thank you for writing.

Sincerely,

JPD
Board Staff

Apparently a lot of people are responding
"public frequently makes suggestions"
Which would indicate that they are summarizing the suggestions and reading the statistics.

Interesting...

Might email them back and remind them they are sucking at the above and you strongly urge them to adopt your reccomendations as they couldn't possibly **** it up any worse.

I'm surprised that the Federal Reserve has email. How much do you wanna bet that their computers use Windows 3.1? They probably ask Microsoft Bob for advice on monetary policy.
