A little more background info would help: degree in? specialty in navy (SWO, CEC, etc). If you have boiler/power experience I may have some leads.

History, SWO. The Guam jobs are all engineering / aquisition. My stint in the engineering department is generally not enough.

Funny thing is, I had a wrist injury playing pick-up football on base that would have given me 10% but I didn't pursue it because I felt like a douche when soldiers were getting real injuries.

Now I see how that whole system works and I am kicking myself.

Not sure this is something you're interested in hearing, but if you got the CFA why not put your name in for some entry-level actuary jobs. With the CFA you'll prove you have aptitude for sure, and that's more important than age to most recruiters.
Plus with the CFA you'll go further faster if you decided to get out of the purely actuary side of things. If you could pass the first two actuary exams you'd be a shoe in regardless of age given your posted info.
