Glasshopper Posts: 871 Incept: 2009-11-02	Spikeiii I would suggest that the black candlestick indicate an important candlestick or formation such as a dojo, harami, &c. Traditionally, black candlesticks or filled in indicated downtrend & hollow ones up trend however most people have coloured them to red & green. It looks like the two candlesticks you highlight form a pattern called an evening star which is a 3 stick pattern or possibly a harami cross which is a 2 stick pattern which may be why two are black. In a 3 stick pattern it is the second two that confirm the pattern. I also note that you have another black candlestick earlier in the sequence which looks like a doji - where the open & close are very close or the same. ---------- Wikipedia : In 1951 Ayn Rand moved from Los Angeles to New York City, where she gathered a group of these admirers around her.
