If it does the latter, we're going to have the counter-clockwise flow pushing storm surge into all the harbors in its path, along with the eye wall taking its toll on several locations from the Carolinas up towards Cape Cod. Earl is still tracking a little more Westward, and that's alarming. But one piece of good news is the dry air in its path. This is going to knock the intensity down a bit for sure.
