blueshield 9 minutes ago (5:21 PM) 367 Fans It's staggeringly sad that so many sincere TeaParty folks have put aside their common sense and just bought into the same tired old conservative myths the John Birch Society was peddling the in 50's, and Reaganomics was spinning a couple decades later.

Shrink the government?

Which part of the FDA don't you like? Or are you in favor of letting pharma and medical device makers use you for guinea pigs?

You want to roll back the clock on the EPA and move into Love Canal II?

Maybe you know who should get the axe in the Defense Dept - Army, Navy, Marines?

And the Justice Department, who needs federal prosecutors, judges, or the FBI?

Social Security, now that's a good one - everyone in America already has everything they need to survive when they're no longer able to work.

And Medicare - well, that's why we have private health insurance, right?

Education - let's just let local school boards decide what needs to be taught, and how much real education Americans need. That's how we'll compete against the rest of the world.

Interior? If we continue to turn all the public lands and resources over to corporations to use or exploit as they want, we won't need em.

There's plenty of waste in American government, but the way to deal with it is to put skilled, ethical leaders and managers the job of doing a better job, and giving them the power and resources to do it.

FALCON72 0 minute ago (5:30 PM) 333 Fans When is this charade going to end? Time and again we read these seriously written articles describing the Tea Party as some grass roots movement, held together by local groups. Yet, they have no independent funding mechanism. They are financially supported by Republicans. They are the Republican party.

And, by the way, even the Tea Party doesn't have any new ideas on how to govern. What a joke.

Follow This is a battle between a generation of ignorance and intolerance, and the offspring they have created, versus the new society of tolerance, science and reason.

Representing less than 15% of the country, the "strength" they keep is given to them by a news media out for ratings over news content.

The baggers are the last few generations of a long history of what I like to call "Generational ignorance." They get fewer by the year, not more.

I hate to break it too the Teepees out there, but you are a dying breed, and the world will be better for it. We call it evolution, and refuse to believe it if you wish, it will be no matter what you wish to think.

They cant grasp or are in denial that many of the TeaParty is grassroots.
The way they see things is some throw back to the sixtys from what i have observed from the comments for sometime.

In essence the TeaParty has grabbed not only a polotical but also a cultural edge, and the far left resents that because that is what they have tried to attain for years.

The left represents the status, the TeaParty represents change.

Now thats what Obama ran on Change, but look at the Reid or Angle debate it was clear who was the old line, not so with Angle.

Yes but the left uses race very effectively its not a good thing but thats polotics, ive pondered as to how conservatives could reach out more to minoritys and i think with this election and the TeaParty we may not need to.

How so? for one the economy will force people to get off the gravy chain of goverment and as time goes by they will see the socialists in their true form, its happening in Europe, those French or Greeks can march til 2020 and it wont make a dam bit of difference.

It's the old lefty playbook - if we only elected honest, hardworking, want-to-do-good leaders and managers, we'd get to utopia. Really we would...this time.

They can't accept that people have quit waiting for the next set of "will really fix it this time" leaders.

In my humble opinion, utopia via government is too expensive, and most human beings just aren't worth the cost.

Tell that to communists. Once Stalin failed them, then Mao was the next guy who would make communism work. Then Pol Pot, Castro etc etc.

They will NEVER learn, because they simply cannot deal with reality.

North Korea and Venezuela are keeping the dream of the Socialist Utopia alive.

Word is that Chavez wants a little help from the Russians building 'peaceful' Nuclear power.

I guess Hugo likes how Kim Jong pushes buttons to get his handouts and wants in on that action.
I'm sure the US Military loves the idea of having a hemispheric neighbor boasting about centrifuges while snarling insults at the UN in NYC.

Socialism is especially grand when You can extort other Countries to expropriate for what You want after You are finished stripping the flesh off the bones of your own productive base and stealing anything owned by the multinationals that can't be airlifted out on less than an hours notice...

I no longer have the slightest impulse to debate or correct their misunderstandings. They are paradigms of exactly what they decry. They aren't enightened, insightful, heck, they aren't even above average intelligence. They need to be hit with reality now, but they don't have the tools to cope with the impact. It will be the same when they are hit with reality later. Why do the same work twice?

What do you suggest? That we keep dumbing down our kids in the hopes if we do it enough that maybe the world will reduce education standards too and we'll go up a few ranks? Or perhaps maybe throw a couple more trillion dollars at the issue, which already eats a nice big percentage of our GDP?

Right, because thats worked so well in the past two decades. In which we've gone from Republican congress, Democrat Congress, Democrat President, Republican President, and back again.

DID ANYTHING GET FIXED? DID WE MAKE MASSIVE SOCIAL STRIDES IN THAT PERIOD? OR DID WE DIG THE HOLE A BIT MORE DEEPER?I'm sure you really, really mean it now, right?

Libertards have attempted to take their so called "knowledge" and attempted to make it a science. They then attempt to build bull crap mathematical models around it to impress everyone. In the end all of this so called knowledge ends up failing because it is not true. Just think how much you have heard coming out of them which has failed.

Accordingly they are always pushing more education which they really want more BS classes. What people really need to be taught is real skills.

Hiding from Monkeys
Report This As A Bad Post Add To Your Ignored User List
Know what?

Do away with the monkeys and there would be A LOT LESS BULL****.

Tom Bough wrote..
a monkey is defined as a person that chooses to collectively seize, by unearned means, the property, material or intellectual, temporal or spiritual, of its rightful owner. The means employed may be fiat, guilt, force, theft, fraud, subterfuge, or anything other than a willing and negotiated exchange of value.

In our modern world, each person is given the opportunity to make a conscious choice whether to be monkeys or men.

Conspicuously absent from this definition is race, birth, gender, heritage, cultural influences, or any factor other than that singular deliberate decision.

But men choose to live their lives upon their own merit. It is this very spirit of independence of thought and action that makes men the prey of the monkey collective.

As such, monkeys abandon their claim to the rights of men.

But monkeys could just as easily choose not to, and become men themselves.
