Despite Niall's quals and reputation - I never trust a Scotchman or English dude to tell us about history. They are still bitter - a lot - about the last 100 years. If you want to know about the theory - look at the proponent of it, his or her influences. The Europeans and the Brits have a *totally* different mindset about the World than we do. That is a fact.

Read what Ferguson has to say about Churchill. He did NOT write and still today does NOT say what he could have - only Buchanan had the b*lls to do that.

Pat Buchanan vs This Niall Joker? No contest at all.

Another thing: Earth to Niall - History like Economics is not a science. We actually come from a country where sh** gets done through human means and a certain level of faith in fellow man - of whatever origin. Not through some "destiny" or "divine right of the most glorious end of empires". Please sir, leave your mediaeval Brit/Euro influenced thinking in the mid 20th Century where it belongs.

Brilliant. Thanks Dbc

Why do you complain? It's the criminals who decide how proceeds of crime are spent, not the victims.
