We found a breeder of exceptional pigs down in Sonoma, Ca, about a five hour drive for us. I can't imagine there aren't some decent pig breeders out your way.

Theox, if your question was about space for live pigs, we've fenced in about 3,000 sq ft of space that has some shade all day, a wallow area, and a small shed big enough for two mature animals.

Some good European beers I love are now coming in 11.2 oz bottles vs. 12 oz bottles for American brews. Not sure if that is related to VAT, transportation costs or what but I do not like it one bit.

One of my lunch time haunts is a place called Jimmy John's. Their claim to fame is that they can complete your sandwich as the last syllable leaves your lips.

Last week they handed me a sandwich and I knew instantly that it was smaller. I'd say about 80% of the size I'm accustomed to getting from them.

My friends are all learning to home brew and not just beer either. People will eventually say 'no mas' and just start doing for themselves.

That said, the spread between eating less but better quality food versus more and junk has narrowed, especially for locally sourced stuff, IMO.

My kids were just telling me yesterday that a couple of times last school year, when they got chocolate milk, it was strawberry when they opened it.
