Does anyone need any constitutions? I've got 125 that I can donate. I don't want to send them directly to my congressman, because he is not used to such a civil letter from me.

Why aren't more people from TF joining in on this? It's a good idea...

I'll feature this on FedUp as a formal 'campaign' - just like the Tea Bags - if someone will write me a concise summary of what people are to do. If it's too complicated, people's eyes glaze over.

Then at the end of the post, I'll link to this thread and people can coordinate efforts from here - but I need that concise summary of the goal, and what people need to do.

Steph, I've just shortened Phatom's first post a bit. Can you use this or something like it?

Here's the idea:
Send 545 Pocket Constitutions/BoR/Amendments with an individually addressed and hand signed letter with each, drafted for consistency.
Send them to:
435 to House Members
100 to Seanators
9 to SCOTUS
1 to POTUS

In the letter spell out clearly but respectfully the importance of the enclosed Constitution. Remind the recipient of their OATH to uphold and defend the same. And, advise them that we, as well as many other American Citizens, are watching, and getting impatient with the actions ocuring that are clearly NOT in accordance with these documents. The letter should also directly reference www.Federationist.org as the sending group in the footer.

At the same time the packages go out, e-mail or fax a copy of the letter to every major news agency (print, radio and broadcast) as well as the usual suspects in the blogosphere (HuffPo, Dredge, ZH, WND, etc...).

We need volunteers from as many states as possible. Please use this thread to coordinate efforts.

I'd suggest the message included be:

"Preserve it, Defend it, or step down." alt: "...or step aside."

Hmm, I nornmaly get a letter back from them when I mail them something. Nothing yet. I wonder if I'm on a watch list now since I mailed them a constitution. This was sent to Mike McCaul, Sen. Cornyn and Sen. Hutchison.
