Mikek31 Posts: 4359 Incept: 2009-05-04 Chicago	This post is for all you relatively new to TF wondering just what the hell's wrong with the "system" again. Perhaps you missed the boat the first time around and you're just curious about all these debt "crises" you keep hearing about, especially in Europe, along with extremely volatile markets. Or perhaps you've busted your ass for years, only to end up losing your job, severely underwater on your home, in debt up to your eyeballs, and wondering just what the heck went wrong. Don't worry, most of us have all "been there, done that." Anyway, so you're wondering why the DOW just dropped another 500 or so points the other day(s). Well, it's the SAME reason we were in "crisis" in '08, and it all boils down to accounting fraud. Everybody's doing it: banks, governments, corporations, etc. They constantly concoct schemes to hide the sausage (bad debt), only difference now is that somebody in the market has called them on it. It's old news, but exactly the same dynamics are at play currently: just replace the various actors and schemes with another. What's worse, now governments and even central banks appear to be in on it as well. The bottom line? Eliot Spitzer wrote..
