Just bought the triple clad pans from Regal Ware http://www.regalware.com/ I bought them at Wegman's just before New Year's. I'm not sure if all Wegman's stores are carrying them, but the Regal website lists locations that sell the pans or you can buy them online.

Not cheap, but heavy, strong, great for cooking, clean very easily, and I LOVE THEM!

Catskill Craftsmen, Inc

They make wooden items like cutting boards, kitchen carts, kitchen utility tables. I just bought their "Super Slab" cutting board and it is definitely well-made, weighing 36 pounds. I'll be posting a pic or two in the Knives thread in about a week.

Edit: Oh, and if you buy them from an online reseller, like from Amazon, they are quite a bit cheaper than list price.

Researching Made-in-USA laptops given recent Foxconn revelations. I bought a Lenovo X220 recently, unfortunately.

Website indicates "Final Assembly in USA".

Partially assembled "overseas".

I own jeans from both Raleigh Denim and Tellason. Both were expensive (raw, selvedge denim, etc), but both pairs were made in the US and look great.

Walk Over shoes are made in the US and super comfortable:

There were some on sale at Gilt.com as well, recently, if you do a little digging.

Also, Vintage Shoe Company:

@Tchoup, I noticed that too. I think it is probably impossible at this point to get a laptop that is 100% made in USA. You may be able to get close to it if you hand-pick components and assemble yourself. Even then, there are probably some components (mobos, memory, etc.) that simply aren't made in USA, period. Karl hints to this on the Apple-Foxconn thread.

You'll find it pretty much impossible to find computer components that are american made.

Keen shoes are coming back to the US. Seems they're tired of seeing their products made down the street from their factory.

I just got some Red Wing shoe-boots based on the recommendations in this thread. They are awesome. Most of their work boots are Made in the USA and have a special sticker on the shelf placard.

Red Wing will restitch any failings in boot over time, free of charge. They will also resole the boot for free. I just have to bring them in to the store.

The one I got (4206) seems very well made and very comfortable. I'd buy another pair of these.

Feels good, doesn't it?

I'm going to order some Duluth Trading company pants tomorrow. I'll report back on how that goes.

The Red Wings fit my feet like a glove. Even though they're leather, they are still very flexible.

I have had several pairs of the Red Wing 606 boots over the years. I actually have a pair on right now. Boots don't typically last me very long, working in and out of the rain. I can get a good 18 months out of the Red Wings though. The made in USA Wolverines that I wore for years typically lasted under a year.

Right at the end of the Bing cashback I picked up a pair of Thorogood boots. I tried them because they were made in USA. These are my "dress" work boots for now until they get pushed into regular service. They fit really well though, and may be more comfortable than the Red Wings I have had.

My jeans I buy from All American Clothing. They wear well and the company typically runs 15-20% off sales two or three times per year. They also have nice t-shirts for $9. About the same price as Old Navy's imports, but the thread doesn't pull out after a couple washes.

That goes for pretty much all electronic components. I used to buy Signal transformers because they had lower DC resistance and offered better regulation. While their manufacturing was no longer in Brooklyn, it had not yet been moved to China. However, the last batch that came in were indeed manufactured in China, but they are still charging double what the others from China cost.

I have a stihl chain saw. Been buying the stihl chains for years w/o paying much attention ... except they are over $20 each + tax now. In a bind one day, I bought 2 Oregon chains. They work every bit as well as the stihl chains.

http://www.oregonchain.com/homeowner/con....

Better yet, Amazon sells them too ... free shipping and, well you know.

QSC makes good stuff, and they are a rare major electronics manufacturer in this country. I was initially looking at JBL, but I may have to go with the new QSC KW181 sub. The JBL subs are made in Mexico, the QSC's are made in California.

Cool Coondog, glad to hear it.

Not wanting to mislead, I recently found out that some QSC products are made in China, but the majority are still made in the USA.

I have a pair of Irish Setter boots and they are GREAT! They're waterproof, warm, and they handle the many inches of snow that we get here in Upstate NY, and they look great.

Good to see the Catskills area making good quality American Made stuff, too. You can throw in Cutco knifes, also made in Upstate NY to use on your Catskills cutting boards.

Anecdotal: I was in a store up here the other day and they had a clipboard on the front desk. The clipboard had rotating paper holders and were attached to a baseplate that was very securely fastened to the board. The baseplate was metal. On the bottom of the plate read "Made in Rochester, NY." The clipboard looked like it was about 50 yrs old.

Try and find anything at Staples or OfficeMax or any other mass retailer today that will last even 10 yrs, let alone 20.

Heavy Duty Utility Blades.

@ Lowes yesterday.

Bostitch 5 blade pack made in USA cheaper than competitor's 10 blade made in China pack on a per blade basis.

Also recently bought a 6hp ShopVac. Made in USA and will suck a bird out of the sky.
