Woot $5.56. Still aching downward.

Here's a question... Once they fail, who is in a strong enough position to actually take over their assets?

That is NOT where you want to be ending at the LOD on huge volume...

"True, governments can reduce the rate of interest in the short run. They can issue additional paper money. They can open the way to credit expansion by the banks. They can thus create an artificial boom and the appearance of prosperity. But such a boom is bound to collapse soon or late and to bring about a depression.

A question regarding a bigger picture:

Is Bank of America currently experiencing a "run on the bank" in the truest sense of the word? Are we about to see a failure of a big bank by the end of week....? Their websites have been down; is this an electronic way to slow down the run? Limit access by customers as a form of defense?

@Curious1

I think you still can access "online banking"...

https://www.bankofamerica.com/Control.do....

...can anyone verify that you still can do online banking?

Their website is ALWAYS down I wouldn't read too much into it. Unfortunately I have a mortgage through them so I do have to deal with them. Over the past two years it seems about half the time I log into their online banking to make a payment the site isn't working. Their tech infrastructure is awful (just like everything else about them).
