I plan on getting the hard cover when it comes out and won't e getting the e-version.

But, a question for those of you that have already read the e-version; is the material appropriate for folks who are essentially newbies? I'm thinking of my sister whom I've tried to "turn-on" with no success - but she really needs to understand because her station in life puts her in substantial risk. Say if she were to actually read it ... would she be able to take anything of value home or does one at least need to have a basic understanding of the screw-job we've received in order to take more home?

The intent was to provide exactly that to the mass-market. In fact, that's why I wrote the book (as opposed to just continuing to blog.)

I'll let everyone else comment on how well I met that goal.

Also... this book will help Karl get more appearances on TV.

It is EXACTLY the book to get for newbies.

As usual, Karl has taken fairly esoteric subjects and presented them in clearly understandable terms. A cogent description of a properly functioning fiat money system, followed by the corruption of same by the exessive use of leverage, and a clearly defined plan of action to pull back from the brink.

I'd be shocked if any reasonably intelligent adult could not follow it.

Karl's book should be required reading in every high school curriculum.

I am about half way through the ebook. This is absolutely the best there is when it comes to explaining things that any newbie, layman can understand. My Thanks go to Karl for writing this book. Also, the ebook on the Android is surprisingly easy to read. Don't be afraid to try it.

My 9-year old understands Leverage.

I suggest if you read it, go over to Amazon and do a review, but only if it's positive. No seriously, I plan on picking up a hard copy in the future, but some A-holes that got the ban hammer from this forum are already leaving negative comments over on Amazon. Some people are unbelievably jealous of Karl's success and hard work. Truly amazing.

I have the 'Kindle' version so to speak, but Amazon won't let me review a book unless I bought it from them! ARRGHH!

At one point Karl offered to sign copies that were sent to him with return mail pre-paid. I can see the potential for writer's cramp, however...

This makes Christmas shopping, really, REALLY easy.

My 'rents are getting this for Xmas. **** yeah. Now, whether they'll be prejudiced against the book's subtitle is another question.

It's one of the few E-books I've bought so far for my Nook Color (which I use both in its normal mode and booted into a different software distribution as a more "generic" Android tablet). I say it's very accessible. My training is in computer science, not finance, but I had no difficulty following the narrative. Of course, what he has to say will be no secret to Ticker readers, but, for "the 99%" who aren't, this book should help them get the message.

I was thinking the same thing Pika. I just got my copy last Monday.
I am so busy I haven't had time to do more than have a look at it. I am going on an internet fast until after Xmas so I won't be back with anymore comments, not that I'm really missed. I don't comment much anyway.

But, as soon as I read it, I will put a review on Amazon.

I'm just into the book now. Anyone should be able to understand this book. It is very well written and I hope to have it finished by EOW when I will write a review on Amazon. I'm taking notes as I go.
