I certainly felt it. Got under a nice solid doorway. Was in my rolling computer chair at the time that started to roll on me. My dog was looking around going "WTF?"

I live in north Texas and we woke up to the bed shaking and rattling. Mag 5.6, strongest in OK history.

5.6 is pretty large in a region not built to withstand shakers.

Wow. We _felt_ the 5.6 last night. It seemed we could also actually "hear" it.

FWIW, there is ALOT of fracking in that area ... just responding to the question w/ a fact, not drawing any relationships.

Pretty sure I heard it last night - weird low humming type sound never heard before, didnt' feel anything though.

Spoke with my dad, and he said my great grandmother was from that area as a child, and word of mouth stories said she was thrown to the ground from an earthquake in that area - so must have been pretty big.

Both of the bigger quakes made a thunder-esque sound as the shaking began. I've felt a couple of the aftershocks and they also made noise, but it wasn't as distinct; more like the humming Dtlgc mentioned.

The quakes are coming from a known blind thrust fault, apparently. The USGS map doesn't list a fault in the area, but I believe it only lists visible faults. I think it's called the Seminole Structure.

The Seminole Structure is a large oil field...

You gotta wonder if this is related to fracking. I recall reading something this past week about how a small earthquake in the UK had been traced to fracking... UK is another place where earthquakes are pretty much unheard of.

Seriously doubt that big a quake was due to fracking. Possible? I guess, but it's decidedly unlikely.

There might be something to cracking... France has apparently banned due to earthquake risk.

Well, at least now we can go. "Oklahoma: Just like being in California!"
