I once saw a pair of 28x39 jeans when I was in some cowboy store in Wyoming.

Being 34x32, this shocked me.

Mine is 40". No lie, I'm a fatty right now. I haven't exercised for **** in about 5 years. After quitting booze, getting in shape and reducing weight is my next goal. My normal waste size is about 34".

I used to swim a mile a day and ride my bike about 7 miles a day, back in the day. I don't have time to do that any more because of work, but I can realistically do something 3-4 days a week now.

At this momemt, I seem to be the elephant in the room. 6'0", 400lb, 51" waist and a 9.5EEE shoe.

This is my year to lose 80 pounds or face some nasty consequences. Only health problem is asthma, which at 216# wasn't a big deal exercise wise, but at 400 is a bigger deal. :-/

Let's just say the Ticker has me motivated. When I can walk 3.0mph for 60 minutes with a heartrate closer to 100bpm than 200, it'll be C25K. :-)

I'm 26" according to Jeans but it's getting a little tight since I quit smoking
— my metabolism fell through the floor even though I upped my runs from ~8 miles a week to ~13 miles a week

MY WAIST SIZE IS SHRINKING! - the number I'm putting in the poll is what it was 2 weeks ago - I've already taken in a notch on the belt but that's last honest measurement...

Sorry to yell but I've been feeling my oats lately. I have lost 15 pounds and I've got a lot more to go but I now see how to do it. Using the calorie counter at about.com and it's actually fun. Learning to enjoy breakfast and beat the must eat late at night routine. Actually walking. I've reduced my kitchen to no garbage can so that forces me to walk a couple hundred yards to the dumpster each night. Taking three flights of stairs on a work break each day.

I used to walk for work but now I'm walking for my own pleasure and health. Got some slick BOSE head-phones, comfortable as all get-out and dl'd some audio books. This weekend I'm planning to expand my walking to include the mailbox (1/2) mile.

I looked at Gen's diet plan but I've got so much to lose I can do carbs one day and meat/fat the next and still lose weight. I'm sure I'll hit the wall but I realize that dieting can make you tired too and I've found a few good snacks that help - raisins, prunes, nuts. Did you know that freaking radishes have ZERO calories? Make your mouth feel clean and fresh too. About.com has me targeted for 1800 calories to lose what i need and so far I'm not going over 1900 and hitting 1500 days quite often.

I like the nutrition analysis and wonder how in the hell someone can consume the recommended 4,700 (mg) of Potassium on a diet of food without supplements? I realize that when I wasn't on a diet I hit that easy, but on a diet - WOW! I wonder if that's why I liked to eat so much to start with? So I'll be looking for some decent vitamins this weekend...

Anyway, I'm getting pretty hooked on this weight loss concept CAN YOU TELL?

I'm in flux too. Gaining muscle and losing flab. Finally enjoy going to the gym, so that helps.

I wish my waist size was shrinking and it has started with regular exercise. It has been a struggle. Hell I was 180 lbs (5'8'' waist 28") in high school and have varied 190 to 255 since. I continue my struggle.

I've worn 33x32 Levis for a lot of years. That's 2" more than it was 30 years ago. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but it isn't high on my priority list right now.

<----- MALE 5' 11" 140 Pounds, was 136 this summer. I was in the 170's 3 years ago. Energy levels are higher and higher the more you lose. Was around 32 waist 3 years ago, Do not listen to the B.S from others "your skinny". MBI says 18.5-24.9 "normal weight" At 140 I'm 19.5 BMI at 133 pounds BMI=18.5. I have on a size 29 right now and this summer I had to go to the boys section to try on a 28, with no length. I'm within the normal BMI and can not buy a pair of jeans and I am normal height. USA= now will supply jeans of all sizes to others in the overwwight BMI area, but not me, still within the "normal government BMI". If I'm over 300 pounds with a 34 length I can buy jeans, but not within the "normal" BMI.
