62 years of age, 5'6" height, 43" waist 28" inseam, 178 lb.

Need to lose 30 pounds to be competitive. Planned and worked 2 years to get back to present condition. I am planning to compete in the over 60 veteran division fencing tournament in 2013.

I have arthritis, 3 years ago I was not able to get up if I sit more than 20 minutes, and my knees hurt just from stepping down to the curb. Found a supplement that ended the inflammation of my knee joints and started walking with a weighted vest. At the beginning I lost 40 pounds to 160 by adjusting my food intake and walking 3 sessions a day totaling 4 hours with a 45 pound weighted vest.

Traveling threw my exercise schedule out the window and I gained on almost every trip I took. The only trip that I lost 10 pounds was a 3 week Japan tour, walking 6+ hours daily.

2 weeks ago I was able to start jogging again, and I hope I can regain some of my aerobic capacity as well as dropping my weight to further reduce the stress on my knees and ankles. May be I can get back down to 30" of waist, but that may be a bit too optimistic. :D
