I want them to default as well but enjoy the "austerity" that means the Greek leech****s get bupkis.

The Greek police violated the 5 Ps:

Prior planning prevents poor performance.smiley

Greece 'runs out of tear gas' during violent protests

Greece has issued an international appeal for more tear gas after supplies ran low because police fired so much of it during a week of violent protests across the country.

Athens is burning.

Reports of dozens of buildings now on fire in Athens. One unconfirmed to be National Library (destroyed). Calls for medical aid going out for multiple injured victims. On-camera video file displayed to live stream showing flames shooting out of building windows in Central Athens (presumably one of reported several bank buildings on fire). Additionally, there are estimated 100,000+ protesters attempting to enter the Square but cannot get across the police perimeter.

Dynamic elements at work - From the AJC:

Quote:
Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in the square outside Parliament as the debate began, with more arriving constantly.

Communist-affiliated unions held a separate meeting at the same time and started marching to Parliament before halting their march as the clashes broke out.

Police fear if the communists and anarchists meet, further violence would erupt and are trying to keep the two apart.

If they do, a lot of cops won't need to worry about their retirement.

Eerily similar to the origins of democracy in Greece. The ruling class sought refuge on high ground from the slaves. The slaves stormed and won.

Reuters: "on the streets many businesses were ablaze, including the neo-classical home to the Attikon cinema dating from 1870 and a building housing the Asty, an underground cinema used by the Gestapo during World War Two as a torture chamber."

It's becoming clear now that the tactic by police is to clear the Square and then lay-in a strengthened perimeter around the Parliament building ahead of the midnight bailout vote. (likely to prevent it from being stormed and burned down once the voting is complete.)

Hellenic TV2 broadcasting live video of tonight's breaking news in Athens: (including interesting clip of a laser-light weapon being used by protesters on riot police while displaying split-screen shot of what may be National Library fully engulfed in flames.)

http://wwitv.com/tv_channels/b5808.htm

With little more than an hour before the vote is taken, RT has now dedicated most it's stream time to the Greek Parliament session:

Reports of many 1000's of citizens gathering in several iconic parts of Greece (Acropolis) awaiting vote results. Athens City Hall, population 656,000, has been taken over by protesters.

This is not just about fairness anymore; it is about the exposure of central, global illusions that affect everyone, not just banks. For the last three plus decades, debt-fueled “growth” has instilled a life sense that everyone gets rich, values always go up, and no one has to pay.

It's not a desire for 'fairness' that has driven the majority of the population to hold these illusions, it's madness, plain and simple.

They're crazy. Bat**** nuts. Living in a dream world. And it's gotten really bad since the mid 1990's or so.

Why on earth would it not pass. Not like they implement any reforms, they are just taking the money to give it to the banks.
