We might wonder if Western funds are exiting China so that Beijing gets the message that a Yuan threat to their currencies isn't appreciated (regardless of Lagarde's lip service). Or, less conspiratorially, funds are exiting for the purposes of domestic funding; again, there's a ton of debt coming due in Europe, tout suite.

But, rest assured. Joe Lavorgna of Deutsche Bank tells us that the US has decoupled from China, and is therefore insulated from a hard landing on the mainland.
