The view that you can create prosperity through financial transaction...is simply not correct.

I'm very impressed. He's the first guy I've heard who's explained that you CANNOT just inflate away the debt. That the interest costs will outstrip gdp and wages with the application of inflation.

A "modest" consumption-based tax? No, no, NO, **** NO. IT'S NOT GOING TO STAY MODEST!!!

Handing Babylon on the Potomac a brand new avenue of taxation would be just about the stupidest thing possible, until and unless it is CUT OFF from collecting on the income side by rescinding the 16th Amendment.

And "consumption tax" my ass. I'll tell you exactly where this **** is going on the "consumption" side, and that's a VAT tax. Which in conjunction with an income tax -- which the shrinking middle class will continue to be easily forced to pay -- will make sure that the street vendors and flea market magnates and other cash operators pay their fair share too, as the country eases into 3rd world status. Up line.

Flat Tax or Fair Tax, one or the other EXCLUSIVELY.
