Ftboomer1 Posts: 26 Incept: 2010-09-29 jacksonville, FL	I saw a local news report out of Jacksonville fl that their flexible savings account provider has had "system problems" for almost 2 weeks. They have been warning the City employees not to use the cards for now. This has been going on since may 25th and the local news could not get an answer from either EBS Atlanta or the city. Assuming of course the immediate response isn't to replace all savings everywhere with good ol' backed-by-the-full-faith-and-credit-of-the-Federal-Govt T bills. They'd figure that would tide them over for the next several crises and it's better confiscate it all at once than to go drip drip drip... Not surprised at all by the length of the outage, if it's just pure IT related. I doubt that any IT failure that has taken fully operational systems that had been operating nominally for at least 5 months out for more than two weeks is really a technical IT failure. If it was a backup failure (which I tend to doubt that this is the case), then the auditor will have the liability. I've never seen any legislation protecting FSA's with the FDIC. This is not looking good for the FSA depositors.
