I think some of you have it backwards. The paper trail probably leads clear to the top. They wanted a way to gut the 2A and needed an "event" to precipitate, so they could move to make "reasonable" gun regs. Holder and O are tight and have no intention of cooperating.

Communications can be slow in Mexico...this may have been put into place before the operation became public and somebody didn't get word fast enough. If we didn't know about F&F, this would have caused the anti-gun crowd in the former US to spluge all over themselves...
