The market almost always knows what will happen before the news comes out so its almost always priced in. Of course there are exceptions from actual surprises, but they fairly rare. A sell-the-rumor-buy-the-news price action is pretty typical for rating downgrades as the market is already well aware of what is going to be announced. ---------- As if anything has changed: Wir sind gefickt. Just like the Greek election the other night - the market wasn't waiting for some official announcement of who won. It already knew way before polling closed.
