I need to add to the title, it was less-lethal bean bags that they shot into the crowd of men, women and children that gathered to protest a questionable shooting by cops earlier in the day. They released a K9 that charged a woman and her baby in a stroller. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about this.

There are reports of a 17 YO female witness to the shooting. She said the deceased suspect was shot in the back as he was running away and that as he went to his knees the cops took him out with a headshot. No report that the suspect has any weapon. It's been over 24 hours since the shooting. You know if the cops had found a weapon they would have reported it by this time. Now they've gone into silent mode trying to figure out a way to change the facts to fit their story. Hopefully somebody has a cell phone video of the shooting. I don't care if the kid was a gangbanger. The cops just can't blast some kid running away when he's not a dangerous fleeing felon and has no weapon. And letting that K-9 dog loose on the crowd was over the top. These cops need to take some lessons from the Greek cops. Anaheim is probably looking at lawsuit judgments of $15M. And the harshest punishment for any of these cops will be paid admin leave.

Note: Locally, this city it referred to as 'Anacrime' and is something of a Southern California version of it's Northern California cousin, Oakland.

Anaslime is another by product of unsecured borders and no internal immigration enforcement. It's like a big tumor that goes untreated and continues to grow out of control. The cops get scared and overreact. Part of the problem is that many of the cops get hired for the $100k plus jobs due to their connections in LE and not based on education or suitability for the job. Where else could you get a $100k plus job with a GED Certificate? (literally - no joke). So if your dad is a big shot who works for the DA's office or for some cop department - he uses his pull to get his idiot high school educated son a job on the force. And then you get cops shooting suspects in the back for no good reason. The MINIMUM educational requirement to be a cop should be a 4 year college degree - especially in their income bracket. What they have going now is nothing but a scam. So the problems in Anaslime are twofold: Unrestricted illegal immigration and incompetent cops.

Its not incompetence. Its willing voluntary action. GED, 4 Year BA, Masters, PhD? You've done nothing wrong, after a month charges dismissed because the accusation is false. Who cares, the cops still jailed you the judge still set bail at 325k, you are out all your savings post a bail bond a paying for a lawyer. Consequences to the Judge and the cops?

Hell half the time, especially in high profile cases, the State will intentionally poison the jury pool by leaking derogatory information about the defendant. So really even what is written and what they say in public is a complete Lie. God only knows why people still choose to believe, and trust them.

As i've said before, if they can't jail or kill you or legally fine you, they will find a way to strip all but the most rich of all their assets to keep you and the rest in line and under their thumb. I used to live right near there in Corona, and shopped around there all the time. It's actually a very nice neighborhood in general.

Dan Rodricks, the author of Lowbeyond's link, makes Obummer seem like a conservative. Rodricks and I rarely see eye-to-eye. I have gone round and round with him via e-mail on at least one matter.

It just goes to prove my theory that you know things are getting to the point of ridiculous when the left and the right extremes are coming full circle and agree on things. Such as Rodrick's article on MD's supposed justice system. And some of the biggest reasons for the OWS protests.

Things have gotten more tense and somewhat bizarre as the day has progressed.

Many media outlets in the L.A. area have been participating in what amounts to a public comparison of notes regarding last nights melee.

Consistent opinion holds that the Anaheim Police and supporting agencies engaged in highly indiscriminate crowd control tactics. Both mainstream and citizen journalists report that police unleashed completely randomized non-lethal gunfire virtually upon on anything and anybody in their sight.

As evidence, multiple media live trucks and passerby private vehicles sustained shattered windshields. Numerous completely uninvolved citizens received substantial injuries from rubber bullets, pepper balls and beanbag rounds.

Police, in effect, took aim and fired at any person present in the area no matter their conduct or activity.

To make matters more surreal, the hacker group Anonymous today released a video calling for 'Project Anaheim' to be engaged, possibly serving as an attractant to more radicalized elements from within the community and afar.

Additionally, foreign press is reporting on one aspect to the current situation not widely reported in the U.S. indicating that Anaheim police have killed SIX (6) subjects within the last year. This in a city with a population of 341,000

I'd like to know how water boarding is not okay but shooting with rubber bullets (and otherwise beating, shooting, gassing) and killing pets is.

Ask Wis/min, Standby. He seems to have no real problems with shooting dogs, and thinks all cops are stand-up citizens, apparently.
