edited title: SEC Shuts Down Zeekrewards.com and Zeekler.com After Declaring Company A Ponzi Scheme Quote: http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/374959/2.... August 17, 2012
Zeekrewards.com was shut down by the Securities and Exchange Commission after the regulating agency declared it a $600 million Ponzi scheme, according to reports.
The alleged scam took money from more than a million customers, the Wall Street Journal reported, and the SEC claimed that the pyramid scheme was on the verge of collapse....

GUy at my golf club has been badgering me for a year or more to get into this. Min $1100 to start...
Got some e-mail and it sure as hell looked like a ponzi.
Not suprised.
My question is how in the **** did SEC have time to scope out a ponzi between midget porn sessions?

Posted this in Fedup. When I look at the numbers, this is nothing compared to our current markets. There was no minimum to get involved and completely up to a person if they were interested in the profit sharing part of the program. I had friends that tried to get me involved and I did some investigating into the program. Here's how it worked on the profit sharing program: Zeekler is a Penny Auction and anyone that knows how these work compare it to gambling in a casino. You buy bids for maybe 50 cents a piece and bid on higher end products and if you bid 200 times (1 penny) that's a lot of cash out the door. Each bid runs for 20 seconds and only if another bid isn't placed within that time period does the person win the auction. Not for the faint of heart and in most cases, bidders lose money because even if they lost, they paid for those losing bids. What Zeeker was doing was signing people up to market the program. These folks would place ads for Zeekler and share in any profits generated by their ad pool. They would accumulate points (that looked like dollars) and even had an outside company placing ads for them for $10 a month. What blows up this ponzi is when fewer and fewer people are buying bids for the penny auctions. People that use these auctions are typically lower income and don't realize the true cost of doing it. My friends who were involved in this can't believe it was a scam. I look at the money the company has in the bank and it basically would cover what many of these folks invested. The $600 million is what is on their over inflated statements. These guys were basically competing with wallstreet and someone took notice. Only wallstreet is allowed to commit fraud and loot your account or pick your pocket. This thing was all over the net and getting bigger every day. Its an election year and they have to take time away from their porn to justify their jobs. Now that it's shut down, let's see if these folks get their money back or if the government allows the lawyers to******and pillage the accounts with excessive fees.
