If you have a a TRAILERABLE boat get it OFF THE LIFT and/or OUT OF THE WATER.

If you're staying home and your home does not have material tree risks (and it shouldn't if you're in a hurricane zone!) sink lead anchors into the concrete driveway in front of the garage door.

Then load boat on trailer, strap it down as for travel, and CHAIN the trailer to the lead anchors with big honking eyebolts screwed into the anchors.

This protects BOTH the boat AND breaks up the windflow to the garage door which is one of the major risks to your house from hurricane winds. If you lose your garage door you're ****ED as the wind will go right up into the attic and blow the roof off.

I'm going to save that bit of knowledge for when I buy my boat.

Not much, except I knew they had a problem there.

The sinkhole appears to be related to some sort of old mining activity and there's some question as to whether radioactive material (which is NATURALLY OCCURRING in most mining operations to a small degree) may be involved.

The tin bin is VERY strong with this one.

Going there now to read up. I don't think this is tin but if you want it moved there let me know. :)

The sinkhole is not tin but the allegation that someone was using the mine to dump high-level radioactive waste in it is absolutely tin.
