Please note the following special rules in this area:
1. If you post a topic here and it
does not contain either an embedded video or a link to some sort of presentation (powerpoint online, etc)
it will be either removed or put in a more appropriate place. This forum is ONLY for original postings that contain or link to
PRESENTATIONS of multimedia.
2. The
first post in a thread (which is the topic and must contain the presentation) will automatically include a "Digg" and "Reddit" button AUTOMATICALLY. Followups WILL NOT.
3. This forum is only for
YOUR presentations. If you're simply reposting someone
else's work in an attempt to get it "exposure" here you will be barred from posting in this forum on a permanent basis.
There are VERY LIMITED exceptions to this rule - your mug or voice MUST APPEAR in the presentation and it MUST BE YOUR ORIGINAL WORK.
What are the exceptions? Generally, you better ask first. IN GENERAL the following rules apply:
- The topic is one that is ON SUBJECT MATTER for something that The Market Ticker does, has, or would cover. Again, if in question, ASK FIRST.
- The producer is famous AND the material is of wide distribution. Youtube and similar specifically do not count. A trailer or preview for a mainstream film does, IF it otherwise meets the criteria.
In addition I reserve the right to grant exemptions at whim, but again, if you haven't asked before you post, it is a near-certainty what you submit that is not
your original work will be immediately bilged and you will be prohibited from posting here in the future.
Asking forgiveness instead of permission
is a very bad idea; those who think this is "how to slip something in" should think long and hard about whether they want any posting access in this area at all before doing so, because there is a 99% chance you won't have it if that is attempted.
The order of postings in this forum is different than the rest of the system. At the top level of this forum postings are displayed in order of insertion, not by the date of the last reply, to keep posts in order by the date their authors originally released them.
Enjoy!
