Widgeon Posts: 13481 Incept: 2007-08-30 Region formerly known as the United States	Lot's of speculation. 1) I read it to mean that they need this cash NOW - not later, or next week - BUT NOW. 2) If I were in their shoes, I'd have first went to those that had supported me before. Genesis Posts: 131489 Incept: 2007-06-26	They're being traded. I've been watching it all morning. CFC is **ed. Absolutely *ed. I said it at the time and covered it in some detail. $2 billion was absolutely chickenfeed - a Hail Mary pass that the mortgage market would immediately unlock for their paper. It wasn't going to happen, it didn't happen, and now they're going to roach. I said then that CFC was likely in the grip of "death spiral" financing and the lack of disclosure of absolute prohibitions against that in their original 8K was all I needed to treat it as if that was exactly what was coming for them.
