i got 3 now. I got 2 when I first started college to build my credit, alsways paid them off. I just got a new AMEX card last spring with 15,000 limit as a student ahhaha.

Right now I'm holding about $1500 on one with 3% because I paid for my spring break with it. Been slowly paying it but ill pay it off once I get a job. Cashflow as a student is always a problem. Most of my money goes to flying and I make sacrifices elsewhere to do that.

I don't think anyone wants to know. I used credit to start up two businesses. So, between my two businesses and my personal lines, I've got about 10 cards or LOC's. I have about $220k in credit. $150k of that is open. All lines have no annual fee. All are unsecured. I have two cards with very high limits that are fixed at 5.99% and 3 more at 9.99%.

If my one business had even remotely flown, I'd be in good shape. Unfortunately, I live in Michigan. smiley Trying to buy a job didn't work out all that well.

Genius
"having lots of credit cards with big limits is good, credit-scorishly"

It is also true that too much available credit can harm your score (as I have researched it, it is sometimes considered a 'risk' if you have a lot of credit space you could 'charge up'). It seems logical that your credit use habits based on history would be taken into consideration, but the scoring programs are pretty ridiculous.

Two cards. 1 business. 1 personal. Paid off every month.

Although with the economy going in the ****ter living in debt may be advantagous.
