Well, his headline specified QE, and a QE, by definition, is a raw print-run -- and $300 Billion is not a trivial nominal amount: keep in mind that the monetary base was scarcely $900 Billion just a couple of years ago -- even today, it's only $2.2 Trillion (or so) -- that we know of, anyways. My tone here is not meant to be argumentative, by the way -- I have a feeling that the numbers released by the Fed are pure fiction in the ****ing first place. 2010-03-23 14:56:09
