Steph, what matters is what Karl wrote - campaign on, talk about, acknowledge at all, etc. on wedge issues and we LOSE. Instantly. Period. It doesn't matter what you believe on these wedge issues and what you think we should do about it. What matters is that talking about them at all equals instant marginalization and loss. It takes a big person to keep silent on issues that are dear to them in order to reach a larger goal. Are we up to it, or are we so obsessed with rehashing the same old God-n-gays BS that we're willing to sacrifice getting some bankers nailed to the wall?
