Humans really aren't much smarter than your typical crustacean. If one tries to climb his way out of a box, you can bet 5 others will go out of their way to pull him back down. And they don't do it out of concern for their fellow crustaceans. They do it because it is funny to watch one fall. These types of technologies will be phased in gradually. Long after generic cold fusion devices are ubiquitous, I won't expect any of the jokers on this thread to show any remorse over the progress they helped slow down with their petty attempts at humor and pointless skepticism. And yes, it is pointless to be a skeptic of any new technology unless you personally have money on the table. 2012-02-22 18:39:24
