When the Powerball amount gets really large I'll buy one random-pick ticket, maybe once a year. I never buy scratch offs for myself. Hubbys family seems to like them so I'll put one on top of their Christmas presents, under the bow. I maybe spend 5-10 bucks a year on games like this, if that. It's totally a tax on the stupid and the odds of getting hit by lightning are much greater, but it's a cheap thrill for a buck or two when the pot gets really enormous. 2012-03-22 08:18:58
