Yes that song zeros in on a problem just 6 years after LBJ declared a “War on Poverty”. It was staring us all in the face thru the 70s 80s then foreigners got into the act and by the late 90s that was one BIG SNOW BALL coming down the hill! The folks in California tried to put the brakes on it in 1994 with Prop 187 which passed by a whopping margin. They said that California would be BK within a decade if this wasn’t passed. But the Janet Reno justice dept jumped in and voided a state election. One other thing I would like to point out, all of these special wars that our former Presidents have declared. JFKs war on “Organized Crime” LBJs “War on Poverty” RRs “ War on Drugs” GBs “War on Terrorism” has done more damage to our constitution and voided most of the bill of rights. This is more than Hitler, Tojo and Stalin could have hoped for. But let me end on a funny note.
