But the system encourages, celebrates and rewards personal greed. That's why the greediest people are running the system and that's why nobody running the system has any interest in eliminating the cheating any more than is required to keep J6P confident enough to keep the 401(k) contributions flowing in. It's not a question of whether the market system requires "someone" to force ethical behavior on the market: we agree on that. The questions are WHO and WHY and if you find a group of people with a reasonable answer to the why, then DO THEY HAVE THE MEANS? I know of no person or group who has all three at this point, unless we go into all out revolution. 2008-03-16 16:02:01
