"yep money and gold prolly would be good but remember the smart folk in the depression thought gold was the answer and the gov't took it all" And since the Fed is a coitiere of Private Bankers, that gold purchases and sales can go unregistered; history as our guide says don't turn in your gold. I don't hear any stories of Roosevelt sending in the Gustapo into people's homes. They issued a demand, paid the price, then raised it. Those gold pieces are worth more than gold since they represent a true value. Hence, gold might be underpriced. Or collectable coins are overpriced. Either way, if cow **** were money and Roosevelt said bring me your cow **** or else, I'd probably have a tough time with this. My guess is the true Patriot did better by not turning in his/her gold. The government may demand all dollars cloth or electronic in this scenario the next time around. The advantage we have today is gold is considered purely speculative. Personally I'd rather own Gold than Google. 2007-12-01 18:40:54
