There is one thing that we all should acknowledge and that is that in very difficult times, small things of value HAVE, HAD and KEPT VALUE. Jews leaving Europe. Africans leaving Africa. Germans leaving France. Russian aristocracy leaving Russia. Southerners leaving the south. What did they carry with them. Gold, mostly diamonds, but mainly jewels and precious metals.
