Wow, nearly 1/5 of all HELOC's Delinquent? Anyone want to speculate on the ramifications of this? Moody's U.S. Home Equity Index Composite showed that the rate of loans at least 60 days past due or that entered the foreclosure process was 16.53 percent in September. That's more than double the 7.93 percent rate a year earlier, and more than triple the 4.99 percent level in June 2005.
