Since the Federal reserve was created in 1913 the dollar has lost 98% of its value. Does anyone really think this 95 year trend is about to reverse? Are we going back to the days of 5 cent hamburgers? The whole purpose of the federal reserve is to create money from thin air. If you go back to the pre-1913 days, the dollar had a stable value. If the Gov't were to abolish the federal reserve, then I will listen to the deflation arguments. But as much as we may want the fed to be abolished, it just isn't going to happen. 2007-12-01 20:48:13
