Go and read what happened in the Great Depression. The market plunged into the abyss and everyone that jumped into ride the wave back up calling it a bottom were wiped out by the next HUGE downdraft. Lower highs, lower lows, look at the charts. Short covering out the ying yang and speculation based on your theories is what last weeks rally was based on. Add the PPT that vowed to step in and "keep an eye" on the markets....eh...won't go there. (tinfoil) Suffice it to say longs can't predict a bottom anymore than shorts can predict a top. You may catch a tad more of the up move, but after etrade informed the world what things are really worth and Floridas fund fiasco, I think the futures tonight should be a very Christmasy red.
