as doug kass has pointed out before, beware of the ebullient ben stein: lawyer, writer, actor and economist... lol, does anyone remember his fancy arithmetic a few months ago in those very pages saying subprime was no more than a slice of a slice of a slice of the economic pie? LOL...ok mr.lawyer, writer, actor and economist... anyway, he tends to be a great cataylst to sell into. sell strength...this is a perfect setup. Goldman is not always bearish guys, they BUY size all the time. they are usually bulls...for them to be bearish is a big deal, and as Margi points out, as painful as it is to say, you don't want to bet against them.
