Markreed99 Posts: 672 Registered: 2007-08-13 Shanghai	One of my teachers who is well known here is about as big a bear as you get here and he believes the floor in A-shares is in the low 4000s. He is basically an accountant and is doing rational PEs based on "true" earnings, taking out potential manipulations and earnings that are coming from stock market gains. His PEs are still high, but earnings growth was still 60% for the market this year according to UBS after taking out gains from the stock market. I believe many others thought the bottom is in in the 4000s. My thought is any large companies here will get hammered with a decline in the US, which will take down the indices as they are market cap weighted. However the small caps will continue their bull market.. The consensus here is there is no connection to the US in the Chinese market. I think that underlies the 4000 floor. 2007-12-02 21:54:29
