My guess is the investment banks are already in whatever security benefits from the Paulson plan. So as Mtgspy intimated the foreign investors get the **** sandwiches. Bank of America is probably already insolvent/BK with the E-Trade mark? Look at their balance sheet they have a mountain of HELOCs there. What concerns me is several people on the street told me originators benefit from the Paulson plan. This cannot be as noone in their right mind would buy a security that can be arbitrarily changed by the government without a substantial haircut. So anyone with loans held for sale should mark those puppies down hard thanks to Paulson. So the beneficiaries of the plan are holders of SKF! 2007-12-01 10:33:17
