The Banks overall have been doing a very good job of not recognizing their loses they ship them off cover them up or just plain ignore them, but they sure as hell have not been coming clean. The reason they can do this is because they employ sophisticated accounting techniques ( which is code for they are a bunch of thieving lying ******s.) This is where things will really start to crack with the not so sophisticated investors, or the people who believed the banks were on the up and up (code for suckers).
