I just wanted to add that children are being indoctrinated into the "cashless" society where government can run up inflation without anyone paying attention to the worthless coins in their pockets.

How do I know this? I was out shopping in the toy department and noticed a Monopoly game that doesn't come with cash but rather little ATM-type cards you swipe through a reader to add value on. Now, it may seem neato, but the implications of that are clear. Oh, that, and I think I read that Monopoly was increasing the traditional denominations from 1,5,10,50,100,500 and adding a bunch of zeros on them.

Also, whenever I buy food lately, I notice the teenagers are using debit or credit cards and not actual cash, even at McDonald's! They carry no cash, just like most of the people I work with, as well as my brother-in-law who never seems to have even $20 on him!

Also, every ****ing time I buy something with a $50 or $100 bill, the idiot behind the counter has to whip out the little ink pen validator checker like I am a ******ned counterfeiter! Hello! The US Treasury is the real counterfeiter. It just seems so odd to me that at a time when our money is so devalued, you can't easily use $100 bills or get them from any ATM that I have seen or used. WTF?

I don't any example above bodes well for the future of the US and its youth.

But you know what? As anachronistic as cash may be, it's individualistic and I worry that we are surrendering that individuality for the sake of convenience.
