I'm visiting my Dad in Sarasota/Bradenton this week. I have never seen so many for sale signs in my entire life. And they are still building! In the same paper I read about Coast Bank this morning there was a 1/2 page Lennar add. "Pay no real estate taxes for 2 years with the purchase of a Lennar home." Of course the Lennar homes are on the other side of RT 75, about 8-10 miles from the beach. I'd bet a nickel a majority of those units never get occupied, ever. Oh, and Manatee county is averaging more than 13 foreclosures a day, 372 filed for the month of November. Thats 2,254 foreclosures in Manatee county so far this year.
