Well, I just watched it. Didn't see anything resembling a punch.
The Republican did make a good point about Congress being the body that holds the purse strings.

Steny Hoyer isn't qualified to hold Charles Lollar's jockstrap.

He very well may not be, but somehow I'm guessing you'll be among those who scream about how qualified Sarah Palin is when she runs for President in two years.

Ads: And just how "qualified" was maObama in comparison to Palin? A one time "community organizer" that managed to get elected to the Senate through the Chicago Machine, that didn't complete his term... vs a one-time Governor, that also didn't complete her term. Seems to me they're about equal. Are you saying Obama isn't "qualified" as well?

Both Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer were interns from Maryland at the same time.

From a political standpoint, he likely wasn't qualified to be President, no. However, are you truly trying to defend this woman who had a hard time getting through college and showed a blatant ignorance of basic political issues? At least Obama was recognized as having a strong education and having a quick and agile mind. NO one, and I mean NO one, will ever be able to convince anyone Palin is similarly qualified. If she gets elected it's going to be because the camera loves her.

Do you have any academic writing/published articles that show this to be true? (not the autobiography junk, academic writing)? It seems when he goes off script from the teleprompter he commits many gaffes.

Quote:However, are you truly trying to defend this woman who had a hard time getting through college and showed a blatant ignorance of basic political issues? Ads:Nowhere in my post did I "defend" Palin, perhaps you should re-read it and point out exactly where in my post I supposedly did... As for maObama and his "strong education", well... he sealed his education records, so how do you know if he got all A's, or all D's? Have YOU, or ANYONE you know, seen his transcripts and verified his "strong education"? Somehow I doubt that. You're making a supposition there, and you have no factual basis for it, so, in simple terms, unless you can PROVE his grades were better than Palin's, you're doing nothing more than spewing bull**** with that one. As for maObama having a "quick and agile mind", I have yet to see anything that leads me to believe that is the case. The man can read a speech, and he can either display, or at least feign, some emotion and resolve. But... take away the teleprompters, and what do you have? You obviously don't like Palin, and that's fine. But you should at least have the spine to give a real reason for it, whether factual, emotional, or whatever. However, to simply infer she is substandard, with no basis to support that conclusion, is disingenuous, at best. Personally, I hate maObama. And I make no attempt to hide that, I have no reason to, and I prefer honesty anyway. I think he is slime, I got the feeling that he was a lying ****ing douchebag the FIRST time I saw him talk (the 2006 DNC speech he gave), and he has done nothing but reinforce that opinion of him ever since. I'm also, NOT incredibly impressed with Palin either. I think she means well, and she may be a patriot, but that doesn't mean I think she should be President. However, whether you like it or not, she certainly is AT LEAST as qualified as the worthless piece of **** currently taking up residence in the White House, and I believe she is more honest, which to me is one of the most important qualifications, regardless of what her college transcript looks like. (By the way: I hated GWB as well, and didn't vote for him either time, so please don't even bother trying the left/right ****, OK? I've actually voted damn near 50-50 down the line over the years.)

Can't believe anyone would actually bring up an Ivy League education as a qualification for Presidency.
LOL. Where you been, Ads?
Bush, Obama, etc. etc. etc.
Oh yeah and then there's the whole Federal Reserve crew, etc. etc. etc.
You know, all the brainiacs who got us into this mess.
Seriously, at this point in time we might start regarding that as proof that one's thinking is , quite possibly, seriously muddled at best and dangerously stoopid or corrupt at worse.

The Unibomber has an Ivy League education so, no, it doesn't qualify one to be President. I was simply comparing the two intellects. If with a straight face you compare the two and think Palin wins that battle, you're delusional. Hell, even John Boehner would think that's hilarious. Of course, John Mellencamp is impressed with her, so there you go.
Phantomace, I don't care for Palin because she proved over and over again in the run-up to the election she was an empty suit who got thrust into the national limelight only because McCain (apparently) decided the answer to this question, "Hmmm, how can I really **** up my chances?" was to get her to run with him. Any of you who think they weren't regretting that decision almost immediately are lying to yourself.

Anyone who thinks the Republicans are going to behave any better than the democrats given the evidence of the past 30 years deserves to have their head examined.
I will spell this out very simply for anyone under that delusion.
This has been the most expensive mid-term election in history. More money has been spent by both criminal political parties than before, that money was raised from someone, and those someones aren't doing it because they are worried about the "good of the nation."
In PA I'm barraged by constant bull**** ads for all the candidates. None of the ads have any substance. Creative new ways for two *******s to call the other guy a bigger *******.
People can sit hear an bitch about Obama and Palin, they are symptoms of a disease not the cause of the disease.
Anyone who thinks will get better under a GOP congress or will get better if the democrats win in November should have their head ****ing examined.
