Went on over to www.coinflation.com and noticed that $1 in nickels (face value) is really worth $1.38.

Seems like nickels are the closest to face value of any of our coins.

There was a huge discussion/thread here a couple years ago, on getting nickles and silver quarters, I think pennies to, and the disco on %zinc in them, how to tell/date the difference etc? Then for the melt value... Which by now has gone up..Edit here, i'll get the links on the threads,
