Depending on primaries shape up, we could see a bunch more solid R seats turn into Tea Party seats. If they win the primary in a primarily red district, they're likely to win the seat. And since the 2012 elections will be the first after redistricting, we could see a pretty large shift to Rs from Ds - Tea Party Rs.

I believe it was Ghandi(sp?) that said that. and in my opinion it applies to the Tea Party of late, which is in the "they fight you" stage now. I have a feeling that by the time the 2012 election is over they'll be a lot closer to the "you win" stage.

I'm concerned about the Giffords bit too. I wonder how well she could actually consider the bill. When the camera was on her, her actions didn't look like they made much sense. She sat down at the beginning of one of the waves of applause, just when you'd think somebody would stand up, or at least stay standing. I'm not sure she even realized where she was.

It doesn't matter if she still has any higher cognitive functions, it doesn't take any critical thinking to do what one's owners command.
