Horace - Asia is doomed if we stumble just a bit. Think about how their lively hood depends on the US consumer. If we are not consuming, they are not eating... It doesn't get much more simple than that. They have too many people and not enough resources to feed themselves... let alone keep the power on, heck they can't keep fuel at fuel stations. You should probably read up on our enablers... its fascinating. Europe is a giant joke. You think our books are cooked... try the EU. First of all, they've had DOUBLE DIGIT unemployment for more than a decade in most of the "powerhouse" EU countries; Germany, France, Spain. Second, They have a massive influx of third world immigrants that TRULY contribute nothing to their economy. They are a NET DRAIN on resources in the respective countries. Third, upwards of 60% of the working age population is 50 years old or over. Fourth, They don't produce anything worth consuming. I lived in Germany for three years 00 - 2003. Europe is in far, far, worse economic shape than the US... The biggest problem in my eyes is the immigrants that move their to get all of the "free" entitlements that come with that socialist BULL****. At least the Mexicans that come here, in general, are a NET utility. Of course there are free loaders, but our system isn't designed to just absorb them.
