Zillow is also excluding the last purchase price from the "property history" when the bank is the purchaser at auction. When the bank lists the property for sale it is generally listed above the appraisal value. In my area, the bank usually purchases the house at 2/3 the appraisal value. This info is no longer available on zillow. Interestingly, the same thing is happening in the auditor's office in my county. I used to be able to look up the pp# and find out what the bank paid for any property at auction. No longer. This info is essential if you are buying a foreclosure. I can still get the info...I have to go to the auditor's office and pay $1 for it. 2012-01-09 09:19:44
